"Violence at Heritage Middle School"

In recent years there has been physical confrontations on several occasions. Reason ranging from romantic interests to just not liking each other in general. even after a hard lock down going on about an alleged firearm in Heritage middle school. Students say they feel safe.

eighth graders know how dangerous school can be. When they were in seventh grade student on student violence was a big problem. There were a lot of fights on and off school property. There were around 4-5 fights in total, one such fight resulted in a broken arm. But why do the people feel safe even after all these fights

Four out of five Heritage middle school students say school is safe. what about the other students that said no. They say that the school is not safe because of the things that have happened in the past. Events such as the hard lockdown that had happened because of an alleged gun in the school that put all the students and staff's safety at risk. Or about the behavior of the students and all the fights that have happened. All the other students polled said that they feel safe because of all the security guards walking around, as well as all the Cameras in the lunch room, gym, offices, also the small lock downs so dogs can sniff the lockers for contraband.

In the school year of 2014 and 2015 heritages librarian Mrs. Zendlock says that books were going missing. When we asked heritages librarian she had said around seventy book disappeared and are over due. Because this problem kept recurring heritage. A wall had to be torn down in the library. 

the librarian showed us exactly were the books were going missing. They told us that  they had to remove the wall and the book turner that the books were on.  The spinner was right next to the door which probably made it easy and that's why it happened on several occasions.

"Saving the old lady"

It was a cold winter day the ground was frozen and the snow was falling but we didn't get too far before we got hit by a bump in the road. We had gotten about two houses away from the school, next thing we hear is a car zooming down the street then we hear a smack on the ground. The old lady who was crossing road had jumped for the side walk. The first thing we saw was all the dark red blood splattered across the curb on the ground. None of us had a phone at the time so Luis stayed and watch the old lady to see when she would go. Luis did that as Roger and I ran back to the school to get a teacher. Once the teacher came to us she talked to the old lady and called the ambulance. They came and gave her stitches but I get  kind of weirded out by stuff like that so I left and Luis and Roger ran and caught up to me. Roger went straight home but me and Luis did what we usually do need just sit there out front of my in neighbor's house and just talked about random stuff like video games but we mostly just sat there and did nothing. We were both in shock for what just happened but at the same time we were both proud that we decided to help her because there were so many people with there parents that just walked by and did nothing but some 10 year olds did.
